The Aleph Bet Jewish Day School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, or ethnic or national origin in the admission of students.
According to Maryland State law, kindergarten students are expected to turn 5 by September 1st of their admission year. However, the School will evaluate children whose fifth birthday falls between September 1st and December 31st, on an individual basis, to determine kindergarten readiness and will accept those who qualify.
We welcome students who join us at all grade levels. Mid-year admissions may be possible, based on space availability. Prospective students are screened to determine if their educational needs may be best met by the learning environment at Aleph Bet. The School requests grades, testing results, and teacher recommendations from prior schools. If students enrolling beyond first grade need tutoring in Hebrew language, the School works with the families to provide supportive instruction.
